EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
PREKINDERGARTEN:
For our Prekindergarten we encourage pre-reading skills through a selection of children’s literature, and a theme of the week and a letter of the week. Our teachers develop a comprehensive and balanced program promoting many exciting activities that are appropriate for this age group. In each classroom the teacher creates learning centers which encourage children to learn through play. For example, children playing in drama have the chance to pretend and imagine themselves in roles ranging from parents to bears, thus enabling them to increase their perception of themselves and others in the world around them. A letter of the week and plenty of "hands on" math and science activities add to the learning experience. These activities help children grow emotionally, physically, socially and mentally to become well-rounded individuals and are excellent preparation for Kindergarten the following year.
