EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
PRESCHOOL:
To be enrolled in our Preschool program a child must be at least two years and nine months old. This class may also include younger four-year-olds. At this age, children are learning to balance their newly found independence with cooperation in a group setting. Our teachers have developed a comprehensive and balanced program based on self-awareness and a child’s place in the family and community. The children learn about nature in relationship to their world. Emphasis is placed on a respect for all living things. The teacher develops this theme more completely through the enrichment of learning centers for music, drama, construction, science, library, language, math, art, and manipulatives. A theme of the week and letter or color of the week allows for new and exciting learning opportunities throughout the year. Developmentally appropriate activities are planned to make learning fun, as children learn best through play.
